A company with history
The local Altena machine factory Friedr. Krollman GmbH & Co.KG, founded in 1885, has provided machines for the wire industry for more than 125 years.
The wire puller city Altena is situated on the Lenne. One of the most beautiful hilltop castles in Germany sits high above the city. The mighty fortress of “Burg Altena” was the historic center of the county of Mark and is still the historical and cultural center of the Brandenburg Sauerland. Altena and the entire southern region of Westphalia are characterized by the mining and processing of iron ore and other ores.
Many firms, from small family companies, just like KROLLMANN GmbH, have established worldwide reputations, which were produced under the most difficult circumstances. Altena therefore became the center of the wire industry. The wire still characterizes the cityscape.
In 1885, Friedrich Krollmann founded a machine factory in Altenaer Nettetal, which has its present headquarters in Altena-Mühlenrahmede. Through innovations, continual developments and specific solutions, KROLLMANN GmbH & CO.KG has developed a worldwide reputation as being the leading manufacturer of pointing machines for wire, rod, profile, and tube drawing plants in Germany.
Today, as a system provider with its own development capacity and in-house production depth, KROLLMANN constructs components for wire machining and processing, and offers customers both the development, design and manufacture of machines as well as the creation of technical documentation and high capacity repair and spare parts management.
